# About Lunoom

Lunoom is a native macOS disk map. It shows where the space on your Mac went and helps you clear what you no longer need, without guessing and without surprises.

## Why Lunoom exists

Modern Macs fill up in new ways. Agent transcripts, local language models, Xcode build output, and Docker images can quietly take hundreds of gigabytes. Lunoom gives each of them its own color on the map, so the large ones are obvious at a glance.

We built Lunoom around one rule: looking is always safe. A scan only measures folders. Files change only after you review the exact locations and confirm the cleanup.

## What Lunoom does

- Scans your startup disk or a folder you choose without changing its contents, then shows the result as a map, a list, or an orbit view.
- Measures allocated bytes on disk and does not count cloud placeholders at full size.
- Skips separately mounted drives and duplicate macOS volume paths.
- Suggests safe cleanups. Generated folders move to Trash, and package caches are pruned by their own tools after a location check. Items marked Review first are never cleaned automatically.
- Includes Duplicate Finder, AI Cache & Logs, and Dev Cleanup tools that verify every selected item again right before moving it to Trash.
- Offers an optional cleanup script export. Copying a script never runs it.
